The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Community Center of Colorado (The Center): "The Center is the only statewide, nonprofit community center dedicated to providing support and advocacy for Colorado's gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) population. It serves as a catalyst for community organizing, support services, social activities, and cultural events." The Center offers a wide-range of programming for Colorado's GLBT Community, including programs specifically for youth and elders. They also offer a legal hotline, an attorney referral service, and referrals for gay-friendly health care professionals. www.glbtcolorado.org.
Gender Identity Center of Colorado: The Gender Identity Center's mission is to, "provide support, outreach, and advocacy for all forms of Gender Identity and Expression," and to "educate the public regarding Gender Identity and Expression." Visit their website at www.gicofcolo.org.
Western Equality: The GLBT center for western Colorado, located in Grand Junction. Western Equality strives to create a fair community and secure equal rights for all regardless of sexual orientation or gender expression. www.westernequality.org.
Pikes Peak Gay and Lesbian Community Center: Located in Colorado Springs, the mission of the PPGLCC is, "to empower the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people of the Pikes Peak Region to achieve civil and social equality by providing resources, supporting the development of LGBT groups and organizations, advocating for LGBT interests, and promoting a sense of community." www.ppglcc.org.
Four Corners Gay and Lesbian Alliance for Diversity (4CGLAD): Located in Durango, "the Four Corners Gay and Lesbian Alliance for Diversity works to promote equality and social justice for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered (GLBT) people in the Four Corners area. We provide education, information, support, community outreach as well as special events and activities for the community." www.4cglad.org.
Out Boulder: Out Boulder's mission is to "foster safe environments for self-expression, gathering, support, and dialogue; advocate for social justice; collaborate with others who share our vision; celebrate the contributions of the many facets of our community; and educate the public about the experiences of LGBTQ people." www.outboulder.org.
Southern Colorado Equality Alliance: Located in Pueblo, SCEA was founded in 1991 as Pueblo After 2, a reference to Amendment 2 in Colorado. Since that time, SCEA has been "working toward greater acceptance and equality for LGBTQ people in Southern Colorado." www.socoequality.org.
Lambda Community Center: The mission of the Lambda Community Center, located in Ft. Collins, is to "be a resource center for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Two-Spirit, Same-Gender-Loving, Questioning and heterosexual Ally (GLBTIQQA) community in northern Colorado, through support, education, outreach, advocacy and collaboration." www.lambdacenter.org.
Colorado Anti-Violence Program: "Since 1986 the Colorado Anti-Violence Program has been dedicated to eliminating violence within and against the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) communities in Colorado, and providing the highest quality services to survivors." www.coavp.org.
